The **Payment and Logistics (PAL) Team** plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless billing and fulfillment processes, streamlining operations from order placement to final delivery. ## What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver **clean, maintainable, and performant** backend code. - Define the **architectural strategy** for the systems you own and contribute to the overall **platform architecture**. - Review code and provide feedback on **technical implementations**. - Build **services and tools** to streamline development processes. - Mentor and coach less-experienced engineers on the team. - Define **best practices** for testing, software delivery, observability, and API contract definition. - Participate in **agile sprint-related meetings** such as standups, grooming, retrospectives, and roadmap planning. - Foster a culture of **experimentation, prototyping, and brainstorming** across technical teams. - Provide technical consultation for **non-technical teammates**, ensuring clarity in decision-making. - Advocate for **new technologies and design patterns** that enhance business performance. - Promote **domain-driven solutions** that balance **short-term speed** with **long-term scalability**.
## Your Background and Skills
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred). - **Experience:** 2+ years as a software engineer with a **strong focus on Java backend development**. - **Technical Proficiency:** - Strong knowledge of **Java, Java EE, and SQL**. - Experience with **event-driven architectures** and messaging systems like **Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Redis Pub/Sub** (preferred). - Familiarity with **React** for frontend development (preferred). - Experience with **Python** (a plus). - Prior experience in **e-commerce** (big plus). - Experience with **billing and fulfillment systems** (big plus). - Comfortable working in an **Agile environment**.
