About This Role

Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React workflows or You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different aspect of the platform.

Job Description

Location: Remote–will work for a US client with teams based in Los Angeles, California

Our client is an LA-based lifestyle e-commerce company. It is one of the fastest growing companies in the US. We are looking for a senior frontend engineer who has experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain user-facing features with clean, reusable, and maintainable code
  • Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality user experiences aligned with business goals
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Optimize for speed, scalability, and performance
  • Review code and provide technical feedback to team members
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on the team
  • Help define standards and best practices on your team for testing, software delivery, observability, and so on
  • Attend critical team meetings like stand up and sprint planning
  • Write technical documentation
  • Implement improvements to development processes
  • Debug and resolve issues in production
  • Advocate for new technology and design patterns where you believe they can help power the business
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in frontend development and explore new technologies
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to design scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend solutions

Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building dynamic and responsive web applications
  • Expert understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem; specifically, around testing frameworks, TypeScript, React, and server-side rendering with Next.js
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and implementing responsive designs
  • Demonstrated experience in improving web application performance, reducing load times, and optimizing rendering
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, Agile environment

These are strong pluses:

  • Experience with A/B Testing and tracking pixels
  • Maintaining monorepos
  • Experience implementing or contributing to a design system
  • Experience with ecommerce and subscription-based business model
  • Monitoring with DataDog
