This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with a leading LA-based lifestyle e-commerce company, known as one of the fastest-growing companies in the US.

About Our Client

Our client is at the forefront of the e-commerce industry, providing an exceptional shopping experience to a wide customer base. They are looking for experienced front-end engineers proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js to develop user interface components and work collaboratively with the team on various aspects of the platform.

What You’ll Do

• Architectural Strategy: Help define the architectural strategy for the frontend platform and contribute to the overall architectural vision.
• Code Review: Review code and provide technical feedback to team members.
• Service and Tooling Development: Build services and tools to streamline the design/development hand-off process.
• CI Pipeline Maintenance: Build out and maintain the Frontend team’s CI pipeline.
• Mentorship: Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on the team.
• Standards and Best Practices: Help define standards and best practices for testing, software delivery, observability, etc.
• Team Meetings: Attend critical team meetings like stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Documentation: Write technical documentation.
• Innovation Culture: Encourage a culture of experimentation, prototyping, and brainstorming across technical teams.

Your Background and Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in similar positions.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • React and TypeScript: Proficient in developing applications using React and TypeScript.
  • SSR: Strong expertise in server-side rendered applications, particularly with Next.js.
  • Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with Storybook and Jest or other testing frameworks.
  • CMS Experience: Experience with Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, or other popular CMSs.
  • CI/CD: Extensive experience with setting up and managing GitHub CI workflows and actions.
  • AWS: Some experience with AWS services, particularly API Gateway.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring and leading less-experienced engineers.
• Code Refactoring: Ability to refactor and improve existing codebases, implementing best practices.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal English communication skills.
