What You’ll Do

• Develop and Support Data Pipelines: Create and maintain data pipelines that drive the company’s data initiatives, optimizing processes and enhancing business intelligence.
• Design Scalable Data Solutions: Architect and implement scalable data warehousing solutions, crafting robust ETL pipelines in diverse environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
• Lead Data Discovery Sessions: Collaborate with product owners, data analysts, and technologists to identify and meet enterprise data needs for analytics projects.
• Ensure Data Reliability: Implement rigorous testing and monitoring protocols to guarantee the delivery of accurate, reliable data.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work with domain experts, analysts, architects, and development teams to align data designs with business strategies.
• Adhere to Best Practices: Follow industry best practices in software development and documentation.
• Participate in On-Call Rotations: Monitor the health of the team’s systems as part of a shared on-call rotation.

Your Background and Skills

• Data Architecture Experience: Over 3 years in data architecture roles involving data analysis, modeling, and integration.
• ETL Expertise: 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining custom ETL processes.
• Programming Proficiency: Advanced skills in programming languages such as Python and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Database Design: Hands-on experience with database design.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience working with AWS or Google Cloud.
• CI/CD Processes: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like GitHub and GitLab.
• Data Warehousing: Experience with OLTP databases and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Orchestration Tools: Strong knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow preferred), file storage systems (AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage), and real-time data processing.
• Agile/Scrum Methodology: Experience with Agile/Scrum practices in service delivery.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence large organizations.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Reporting Tools: Experience with tools like Databricks, Tableau, etc.
• Event Streaming: Familiarity with event streaming tools such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Subscription Services: Experience with subscription service products.
• Functional Knowledge: Understanding of accounting, FP&A, and marketing functions.
