Our client s an AI-powered tax advisory platform that partners with CPA firms to deliver white‑label tax planning and advisory services for small and mid‑market businesses. The company combines tax expertise with AI-driven workflows to surface savings, credits, and advisory opportunities while enabling CPAs to scale services without adding headcount.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior Full‑stack Engineer (TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js) to join the team. This is a hands‑on, independent contributor role focused on building elegant, consumer‑grade web applications that translate complex tax and financial workflows into intuitive user experiences. Strong overlap with US West Coast working hours is required.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end‑to‑end feature development: design, implement, test, deploy, and iterate on high‑impact product features.

  • Build responsive, accessible, performant frontends using React, Next.js, and TypeScript with attention to UX and design fidelity.

  • Implement backend services and APIs with Node.js to support dashboards, integrations, and data workflows.

  • Architect and deliver client/server patterns that use SSR/ISR where appropriate for SEO and performance.

  • Integrate third‑party services (accounting systems, data providers, auth providers) securely and reliably.

  • Partner with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and ship quickly.

  • Own code quality: write tests, conduct and act on code reviews, and mentor other engineers.

  • Improve platform reliability and observability: monitoring, logging, performance tuning, and CI/CD practices.

  • Maintain security and privacy best practices for handling financial and tax data.

Your background and skills will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3+ years building production consumer‑facing web applications; senior, independent contributor preferred.

  • Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript; strong track record building well‑designed consumer sites.

  • Solid experience with Python and Django framework.

  • Experience with Node.js is a strong plus

  • Practical knowledge of SSR/ISR, caching, CDNs, authentication / authorization, and web performance optimization.

  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization, and deployment pipelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate design and product requirements into polished UX.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; able to work autonomously and collaborate across design, product, and data teams.

  • Nice to have: Experience in fintech, financial analytics, or enterprise SaaS; familiarity with analytics instrumentation and observability stacks.
