Full-Stack Platform Engineer (Cybersecurity SaaS MVP)

Summary Our client is an ex-Google founder building a next-generation cybersecurity B2B SaaS platform. The product ingests access logs from enterprise systems (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure, Slack, etc.), normalizes them into a clean schema, and layers an AI/ML engine on top to detect when employees access sensitive data or resources they shouldn’t. Think “recommendation-engine logic” applied to privileged-access monitoring. The founder is building the AI/ML layer himself and is now hiring the primary engineer to own everything around it — from log ingestion pipelines to per-customer isolated environments and the customer-facing web app.

About the Role We are looking for a senior Full-Stack Platform Engineer who thrives in early- stage environments and loves owning the entire stack. You will design and build a cloud-neutral, multi-tenant platform with strict per-customer isolation (dedicated Kubernetes namespace + VPC peering per customer). This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role: you will be the primary engineer responsible for infrastructure, backend services, frontend dashboard, and CI/CD. You will work directly with the founder and shape the technical foundation that scales to hundreds of enterprise customers.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement secure, scalable log ingestion pipelines that pull and normalize access events from multiple enterprise sources (M365,Google Workspace, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS CloudTrail, Azure Activity Logs, Slack, etc.).
• Build and manage per-customer isolated environments using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform (one dedicated namespace + Postgres + ClickHouse per tenant, VPC-peered to the customer’s cloud).
• Develop the customer-facing Logs Visualizer — a modern, performant Next.js dashboard with advanced filtering, search, pagination,exports, and real-time risk-score display.
• Create the company website + tenant router that handles SSO login and routes users to their isolated instance.
• Own the full DevOps surface: Docker packaging, Helm charts, GitHubActions CI/CD, observability (Prometheus + Grafana), and cloud-agnostic deployment across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Implement robust authentication (SSO/SAML/OIDC), RBAC, secretmanagement, and audit logging to meet SOC 2 standards from day one.
• Collaborate closely with the founder on AI/ML integration hooks (REST+ direct ClickHouse access) while keeping the platform extensible so future contractors can add new log sources with zero core changes.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong ownership of both frontend and backend.
• Expert-level TypeScript + Next.js 15 (App Router) for the web layer.
• Strong Python experience (FastAPI, Pydantic v2, UV) for backend services and data pipelines.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform,and Docker.
• Experience with Postgres + ClickHouse (or similar OLAP) and data pipeline orchestration (Dagster is a big plus).
• Proven ability to build multi-tenant, cloud-neutral platforms with strict isolation (VPC peering, network policies, per-tenant databases).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; must be comfortable working East Coast hours and collaborating directly with the founder.
• High autonomy and ownership mindset — you will be the main engineer driving the platform forward.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior cybersecurity, audit-log, or SIEM experience.
• Marketplace packaging experience (Azure/AWS/GCP Marketplace).
