About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our client’s growing analytics practice. This role will partner with marketing, merchandising, operations, and customer success to turn ecommerce, subscription, and customer-behavior data into actionable insights and predictive models that increase revenue, reduce churn, optimize inventory, and improve the customer experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain pipelines that consolidate orders, subscriptions, web analytics, CRM, inventory, and financial data for analysis.

  • Prepare regular financial reports and variance analyses (P&L, revenue by channel, gross margin, CAC vs LTV) and support month-end close activities.

  • Define, build, and maintain dashboards to track conversion, LTV, repeat purchase, subscription churn, AOV, inventory health, and key financial metrics.

  • Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments for marketing, UX, pricing, and product initiatives with statistical rigor.

  • Develop models for customer lifetime value, churn risk, propensity to subscribe, demand forecasting, and revenue forecasting using Python and ML libraries.

  • Translate analytical and model outputs into prioritized, measurable business and financial actions; partner with teams to implement pricing, promotions, replenishment, and retention tactics.

  • Deliver deep-dive analyses on campaign ROI, cohort behavior, product assortment performance, margin drivers, and cash flow implications; present concise recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Ensure reproducibility and documentation of analyses; implement monitoring and alerts for production models and pipelines; maintain integrity between operational and financial systems.

Your background and skills will include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred).

  • 3+ years as a data analyst, financial analyst, or data scientist in ecommerce, subscriptions, retail, or related fields.

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems; experience producing financial reports and supporting month-end close.

  • Practical experience with Shopify (or other ecommerce platforms) and Google Analytics / GA4 for web and channel measurement.

  • Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels); advanced SQL for analytics and data engineering tasks.

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying models for churn, LTV, segmentation, or forecasting; strong A/B testing design and analysis skills.

  • Experience with dashboarding tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and defining business/financial KPIs.

  • Understanding of ETL design, data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and workflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect) preferred.

  • Strong communicator who converts technical and financial analysis into concise, actionable business recommendations and collaborates effectively across teams.

  • -Prior experience with subscription metrics, inventory and supply‑chain finance, or automated model monitoring in production is an advantage
