Job Description

We are building a next-generation SaaS platform that leverages AI to transform legal writing and make high-quality legal representation more accessible. As an AI Backend Developer, you will design and scale the systems that power our AI-driven document automation tools. If you’re passionate about backend engineering, AI technologies, and building reliable cloud infrastructure, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing product environment.

What you’ll do

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Golang
• Develop and optimize AI pipelines, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, and integrate LLMs such as OpenAI and ChatGPT
• Manage and refine structured data workflows using Pandas, Dask, and Supabase, ensuring smooth ingestion, processing, and storage
• Collaborate with data scientists on prompt engineering and model optimization using LangChain, Hugging Face, Pinecone, and related frameworks
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy cloud infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases (via Supabase) and implement caching solutions like Redis
• Conduct API integrations and testing with Postman, and monitor system performance using Sentry
• Ensure system scalability, security, and reliability as the platform grows

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern cloud-based systems
• Proven experience integrating and optimizing AI tools, including generative AI models and NLP workflows
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Proficiency in database design and optimization, especially with PostgreSQL and Supabase
• Experience handling structured data (JSON, XML) and AI-related technologies such as Tesseract OCR and spaCy
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and deliver elegant solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Bonus Points

• Experience building applications with Next.js
• Familiarity with AI-focused frameworks such as OpenAI, Pinecone, LangChain, and advanced data tools like Pandas and Dask
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
